Sulphuras Apache Promise
AMHA 107567 / AMHR 107425
Brown Buckskin Snowcap Appaloosa mare
(carrying the cream gene) - Foaled 3/20/1999
Sire: Hobby Horse's Apache Captain
Dam: Sulphuras Royal Satin

"Promise" is a Brown Buckskin snowcap appaloosa mare and carries the dilute cream gene. She has produced two palominos when bred to sorrel stallions, and her 2006 colt, CCMF Legacy's Golden Ticket, a palomino few spot appaloosa colt and junior herd sire (see him on the Stallion's page), is an AMHR Grand Champion & Junior Champion stallion, sired by Carousel Designer Legacy, an AMHA National Top 10 stallion.

Promise has given us outstanding foals when bred to our own Sweetwater's Texas Spotty (see him on the Stallion's page), a buckskin leopard appaloosa stallion of Hemlock Brooks Egyptian King, Flying W Farms Little Blue Boy and Komokos lines. These two have produced beautiful appaloosa foals, with Spotty's legs, body and hooky neck.

Solid Chocolate with Flaxen Mane & Tail and Lacing on her back
(carrying the cream gene) - Foaled: 05/22/1996
Sire: Wittmaacks Eclipse

Eclipse, a 30" mare, has been lab tested to carry the DILUTE GENE, and has extreme lacing on her back. She is, on the top side, a half sister to that magnificent stallion: DAKOTAS LILLE GUTEN, with the same CHOCOLATE color with flaxen mane and tail that Guten is so FAMOUS for. Guten is the holder of many Grand and Reserve Championships in Halter, and has produced multiple National Grand Champions, Top Ten, Futurity and Driving Champions and Hall of Fame offspring. Eclipse has a beautiful neck, gorgeous head, and a presence and personality that is unequaled. We are honored to have this beautiful mare in our herd.

Sanders Bit-O-Honey

AMHA A74260 / AMHR 71716A
Foaled: 04/04/1995 - Red Silver Bay, white mane & tail
Sire: Britt Helm Sun Chaser
Dam: Three Bar ES Honey Bear

"Honey" has a wonderful history of producing color! Not just "color" but LEOPARD or BLANKETED SPOTTED COLOR! Although a solid red silver bay, this girl has thrown appaloosa, every time she's been bred to an appaloosa stallion. Honey" outdid herself in 2008 by giving us a small (26.75" at 10 months) bay leopard colt with incredibly long legs!

Her breeding on the top side goes back to Dell Teras Bronco, a producer of National Grand Champions, and Double O Seven And A Half Moto, National Grand Champion Senior Stallion. On the bottom side, she is from Crescents Sidney, a producer of National Champions, Honor Roll, National Grand Champions and Martin's Southern Belle, a National Grand Champion producing mare.

Toyland Celena of Castle Rock
AMHA A 180594 / AMHR 283280T / FMHA 1161
Bay Near Leopard Appaloosa (May become a full Leopard)
Foaled: 04/01/2007
Sire: Falabella Guille' (Argentine Import)
Dam: Toyland Cee Cee

"Celena" born a tiny 17.5" with a colorful blanket, she had not done much growing (still a petite under 28") , but she has continued to color, and look how beautiful she is!

The most amazing thing about Celena is her extreme Arabian strut with her tail flying in the air. She lifts her head and her legs up high, as she does her floating trot! It's a most beautiful sight. This is a rare and highly valued trait, which we hope she will pass on to her future offspring.

Celena was born with a perfect bite and has well balanced conformation. Celena has strong Appaloosa genes with both her sire and dam being Leopard Appaloosas. She should be a top color producer for us in the future.

Her sire, FALABELLA GUILLE, (pronounced Guy) is a 29.75" exceptional Black Leopard Appaloosa imported as a young stallion from the Falabella farm in Argentina. Guille has superior qualities which he passes on to his offspring, first and foremost, being a perfect bite, perfect legs and show type conformation. He has beautiful movement with his head held high and a smooth, gliding trot like artistry in motion. Most important, Guille has 100% Argentine ancestry, with totally different ancestors from most other Falabella in the USA.

Celena's dam is Toyland Cee Cee, a 30.00" Sorrel Few Spot Appaloosa, who is small and correct and a wonderful color producer, obviously. We are looking forward to great things with this beautiful, little Fallabella mare.

Toyland Blessie
AMHA A139454 / AMHR 231246A / FMHA 747
Foaled: 02/17/2001
Seal Black Appaloosa with Mottling
Sire: Toyland Portentoso
Dam: Toyland Tiara Mist

"Blessie" is a lovely mare with a pretty head and show type conformation. She is a beautiful "Seal Black" appaloosa, with lots of mottling.

Her sire, TOYLAND PORTENTOSO, is a 32.00" Snowcap Appaloosa, out of PORTENTO, a black Appaloosa son of GROSSHILLS COMOFIN, an imported, top quality 29" Black Leopard Appaloosa from the Falabella farm in Argentina.

Blessie's dam is Toyland Tiara Mist, a 32.50" solid black mare, who is by Toyland Zodiac, a 31" Black Leopard Appaloosa Falabella stallion. Zodiac has produced many loud colored appaloosa foals, and proved himself to be a most prolific and valued sire, until his death in 2004, and became the TOP Falabella stallion in the US, and in many parts of the world.

As a "Toyland" falabella, who are bred to carry the BLACK gene, we are hoping to assure a higher percentage of intense "base colors" such as Black, Bay and Chestnut, which are highly desirable to us in our "COLOR" breeding program. Blessie is a proven broodmare. We are looking forward to great things with this beautiful, little Fallabella mare, as part of our Appaloosa broodmare herd.

RJ's Pocahontas
AMHR 105946B - 35.25"
Foaled: 07/29/1999

Her breeding is heavily Stout, going back to Stout Black Magic, Stouts Mona Lisa, Stouts Little Chippewa, and Stouts Mister Pride, a Foundation Stallion. Out of RJ Little Hawkeye, this mare is heavily appaloosa bred on the top and bottom, many being leopard appaloosas!

Pokey has thrown us her beautiful conformation, and passed on her wonderful attitude at the farm. We are looking forward to seeing her pass on her wonderful spots, as well!!

Little Kings Classy Cat
AMHA A 165869 / AMHR 283052T
Foaled: 06/03/2005
Buckskin Appaloosa
Sire: Buckeroo's Top Cat
Dam: Hylands Autumn Star

"Classy" is the daughter of Buckeroo's Top Cat, son of the legendary BOONES LITTLE BUCKEROO, going back to GOLD MELODY BOY on the top AND bottom sides. There are not many stallions that are sired by, and sire, National Grand Champions, but Top Cat is an accomplished show horse in his own right, with great presence and refined conformation, that he passes on to his get.

Classy is a beautiful young mare, totally upright and having the leggy look that is so sought after in the show ring. She has a huge eye, balanced trim barrel, and refined conformation from the Buckeroo and Gold Melody Boy lines. And a BONUS - she has SPOTS !!! A "Little Kings Farm" "Buckaloosa!"

This is Boone's Little Buckeroo and Gold Melody Boy at its best for an Appaloosa breeder-having all the extra appaloosa characteristics a breeder wants to see besides just spots: striped hooves, mottled pink and black skin around her eyes, nose, mouth, genitals and inside her ears, with visible sclera. We are looking for some very special offspring from this girl, bred to our incredible appaloosa stallions!

D'Armond Bucks Bellarena
AMHA A177198 / AMHR 287789T - 29.50"
Foaled: 02/24/2007
Smokey Black
Sire: Little Kings Major Bucks

"Bella" is adorable and a tiny girl. She'll likely mature in the 28-30" range. She's got a tiny little Arabian head, and she is extremely, extremely refined (although a bit overweight!!) With her crème gene, small size and intense GOLD MELODY BOY pedigree, she'll make a broodmare extraordinaire!!

Bella is sired by the wonderful cremello stallion, LITTLE KINGS MAJOR BUCKS. Major Bucks is by the lengendary BOONES LITTLE BUCKEROO and out of Smiths Buttermilk II. Although Smiths Buttermilk II has an unknown pedigree, she is obviously a super producer. This cross was repeated six times and also produced the super cremello stallion, Little Kings Buckeroo Zodiac.

Bella's dam, AF MELODY IN GOLD, A Reserve Grand Champion senior mare, and producer of champions, has one of the most intensely line bred GOLD MELODY BOY pedigrees. She is sired by the lengendary National Champion producer, WITTMAACKS MICKEY MOUSE, the only line bred son of Gold Melody Boy. Mickey's dam, Johnston's Silver, is also a direct daughter of GOLD MELODY BOY. On the bottom side, AF Melody In Gold's dam, JOHNSTONS' GOLDEN GEM, is also a direct daughter of GOLD MELODY BOY. GOLD MELODY BOY is her grandsire top and bottom, and also her great grandsire on the top!

GOLD MELODY BOY, one of the most recognizable and prepotent lines in Miniature horses today, carrying tremendous Arabian type, balance and elegance. All of this wrapped up in a tiny, beautiful package. This pretty girl and a few other special girls have been hand selected for Silverado. We can't wait!!!

"Eva" is a black minimally marked Appaloosa mare foaled 3-12-95. She's got a sprinkling of white on her rump, mottling on her genitals, and striped hooves-and best of all-SHE THROWS APPALOOSA!!

Eva has produced a MOST beautiful appaloosa buckskin colt in 2008-one of Castle Rocks future herd sires (see him on our Stallion page). He is Eva's fifth AMHA registered foal, but she has had colts that were sold unregistered by a previous owner. Four of the five registered foals are appaloosa-so Castle Rock could not be happier!!! GOLD MELODY BOY LINES AND SPOTS!! OUR DREAM COME TRUE.

We will continue to use Eva to produce those SPECIAL GOLD MELODY BOY line bred foals.

GOLD MELODY BOY, one of the most recognizable and prepotent lines in Miniature horses today, carrying tremendous Arabian type, balance and elegance. Grey Appaloosa
Sire: Johnston's Happy Appy
Dam: Sulphuras Silver Fox

JBR Frosted Feather

AMHA A168168 / AMHR 270352T
Foaled: 03/30/2006
Palomino Few Spot Leopard Appaloosa
Sire: JBR Prince For Sure
Dam: Southern Charms Diamond Lil

"Feather" is a most beautiful palomino Few Spot Leopard Appaloosa. Few Spot appaloosa patterning is a horse whose base color is nearly obscured by its Appaloosa white patterning covering up to 90% of its body. Few Spots are believed to be Homozygous, which means Feather will always produce a "colored" foal.

Feather is out of a beautiful Chestnut Leopard stallion: JBR Prince for Sure, whose lineage goes back to NFC'S SUGAR BOY, a Grand Champion Jr Stallion, going back to GOLD MELODY BOY! Her dam is out of the famous AMHA Foundation Appaloosa sire: YELLOW DIAMOND LITTLE FEATHER. Frosty is just appaloosa bred top and bottom.

Feather is like a spoiled child. She is constantly seeking attention, follows us everywhere, and is just one of the friendliest mares ever found. With another few spot on the farm, we continue to look for those special appaloosa "colored" foals!

Castle Rocks Dancin' Spotty Style
AMHA pending /AMHR 294548T
Sooty Buckskin Blanketed Appaloosa - Foaled 05/21/2008
Sire: Sweetwaters Texas Spotty - 33.75"
Dam: Castle Rocks Dancing In The Mist - 33.75"

DANCIN'S BACK HOME--AND WE'RE SO EXCITED !!! This pretty feminine girl has matured beautifully! As a newborn, she was proportioned like a big horse foal (all legs, small body, trim barrel, dainty head). Her legs went on forever and her throat-latch was clean, her neck was upright and hooky like her sire's. All the "Spotty" babies have that "look" stamped on them with trim small barrels, legs that go on forever and beautiful heads with big expressive eyes, and this girl got it all. This is NO blocky-headed appy mare--this is a beautifully refined mare.

We are so happy to have "Dancin'" back at Castle Rock. We will continue to move our program more and more toward the buckskin and other dilute appaloosas blended with the AWESOME Gold Melody Boy lines. And with two leopard parents, we are looking forward to some remarkably spotted babies when she is bred to some of our wonderul appaloosa stallions!!

This mare is a full sister to our 2007 colt, CCMF Castle Rock Florida Spotty, who has received multiple Junior Grand Champion Stallion titles and Supremes in Amateur halter in the show ring in the past few years. We couldn't be more pleased! We look forward to Dancin' making her own mark in the show world by producing quality appaloosa foals that can go to the top!

Castle Rocks Amber Night Sky
AMHA / AMHR / FBR - Foaled 05/13/09 - 21" w/ 8" canon
Sorrel Fewspot Appaloosa
Sire: Wellspring Red Sky At Night - 33" Sorrel Leopard
Dam: Star Lakes Summertime Belle - 34" Silver Bay Appaloosa

This is a triple-registered falabella blend filly

This girl is just awesome!! Belle and Red have produced a most beautiful sorrel fewspot appaloosa filly, who is straight up and leggy, up-headed, has a trim barrel, and more! We are so pleased to be adding another fewspot to our broodmare herd, as they are known to be 100% color producers. We are looking forward to watching her mature into the beautiful mare her dam is, and know she will be a wonderful producer.

Sire: Wellspring Red Sky At Night - "Red" brings the same FIRE and SPIRIT with that same tail-waving movement, and arched neck prancing of his 1/2 brother "Drum". On the top side, Red's sire, Mountain High White Cloud, is a producer of Grand and National Grand Champions, and this boy also carries some wonderful Falabella lines. Then on the bottom, there is almost completely leopard appaloosa breeding. Red's dam, Piney's Tar Baby, a black roan appaloosa with lacing, has produced all appaloosa foals. Piney's Tar Baby comes out of such foundation stallions as Davis Commanche (chestnut leopard), out of Dell Teras Jim Dandy (black/blue roan Leopard) out of Dandy Jim, from her dam, Piney's Tootsie Roll, a black leopard mare.

Dam: Star Lakes Summertime Belle - "Belle" outdid herself in with her 1st foal in 2007, giving us a beautiful sorrel blanketed appaloosa filly "to die for!" She is a beautiful silver bay REVERSE appaloosa mare, having white spots but mostly dark chocolate spots on her blanket. Belle has a great stride, as her sire is a versatile and great driving horse, and her dam has produced two Reserve National Champion futurity driving horses, and a National Top Ten Halter filly. Belle is currently being trained for cart, and will hopefully do well in the show ring.

AMHA A108952 / AMHR 218317A
Foaled: 03/14/1999
Chestnut Appaloosa with roaning and large blanket
Sire: Sligo Spotted Horse
Dam: Rogges Abbie

"Temptation" is a most beautiful chestnut mare with just the right amount of Appaloosa roaning to complement her gorgeous large spotted blanket!!! And we now own a beautiful cremello stallion to help Temptation bring us those gorgeous dilute appaloosas -- hopefully with her outstanding blanket.

Temptation is an own daughter of the famous SLIGO SPOTTED HORSE, a multiple National Champion sire -- a most gorgeous Chestnut Leopard appaloosa bred from Champions and going back to the strong foundation lines of Dell Teras and Stout horses. We are very pleased to own this beautiful mare, and all the promise of her future foals.

C Beauty Oil
AMHA A44053 / AMHR 99508A
Foaled: 7/02/1991
Black Varnish Roan Appaloosa
Sire: Jims Siree Bee
Dam: C Copper

"Beauty," is just that, an absolutely beautiful black roan varnish appaloosa. This retired show mare has produced National Champions, Top Ten National Champions in Driving and Performance, along with Halter, as well as being a winning mare herself.

Beauty is a favorite here, as her personality is outstanding, and she is always one of the first mares to approach you for attention. She also brings that out in her foals, and teaches them the art of "people pleasing".
