"Snowy" is a direct daughter of Shadow Oaks Cock Robin, a multiple National Champion sire, who is a direct son of the legendary Chianti, the pure Falabella stallion imported from Argentina. Chianti is known as the "grand-daddy" to Appaloosa Miniature horses. Snowy, a registered Falabella Blend, is a consistent producer of colorful foals, delivering them without problem. "Belle" outdid herself in with her 1st foal in 2007, giving us a beautiful sorrel blanketed appaloosa filly "to die for!" She, herself, is a beautiful silver bay appaloosa mare, having both white spots AND dark chocolate spots on HER blanket.

She has a great stride, and our 2007 filly continued that trend. Belle's sire is a versatile and great driving horse, and her dam has produced two Reserve National Champion futurity driving horses, and a National Top Ten Halter filly.

Belle confirmed in foal to Sweetwater's Texas Spotty, a bucksin leopard appaloosa for a 2008 foal, and we can hardly wait to see EVEN MORE SPOTS!! This should be wonderful match of color and stride, and we are hoping for Spotty's exceptional conformation on this upcoming foal.

Carrie stands at 31", has a sweet personality, and is a wonderful mother, who foals easily.

Carrie is confirmed in foal to Grosshills El Rey, our Argentine bred Falabella Stallion, National Top Ten Senior Stallion, (see him on the Stallion’s page). Carrie has a beautiful head, and with El Rey's carriage, tail set, size and conformation, we are hoping for great "small" things.

This should be an interesting match, and we are hoping to produce a small, 2008 show quality, performance foal, that will be triple registered as a Falabella Blend, bringing together the best of both miniature worlds.

"Promise" is a brown buckskin snowcap appaloosa mare carrying the dilute gene. She has produced two palominos when bred to sorrel stallions, and her 2006 colt, CCMF Legacy's Golden Ticket, a palomino few spot appaloosa colt (found on our stallions page), an AMHR Grand Champion & Junior Champion stallion, sired by Carousel Designer Legacy, an AMHA National Top 10 stallion, is one of our junior herd stallions.

Promise gave us a most beautiful Smokey Black Blanketed Appaloosa filly when bred to Sweetwater's Texas Spotty, a buckskin leopard appaloosa stallion of Hemlock Brooks Egyptian King, Flying W Farms Little Blue Boy and Komokos lines, for a 2007 foal. We repeated this breeding, and are looking forward to another show-stopping foal, watching Spotty reproduce his legs, body and hooky neck on this upcoming foal, once again!

"Bitsy" is a tiny 29" and will remain tiny. She was 16" at birth and is a lovely filly with a beautiful head with large soft eyes. Her dam is a bay roan snowflake appaloosa who goes back to FALKLAND OF KILVERSTONE, a Fallabella stallion on the top, and ROWDY on the bottom. Bitsy is a registered Falabella Blend, with an extensive appaloosa pedigree. Her sire is an AMHA National Reserve Champion Junior Stallion who is a blue roan appaloosa own son of Orion Light Vant Huttenest.

Bitsy is confirmed in foal to our small, young stallion with COLOR, COLOR, COLOR---our HCM X Calibers Ole' (see stallion page). Ole' has a small (29") but Araby pintaloosa body, having multiple Grand and National Grand Champions on both sides of his pedigree. On the bottom, Baylee is Komokos breeding, going back to Komokos Wild Turk, a multiple National and Reserve National Champion Sire, and KOMOKOS KING TUT and KOMOKOS JENNIE, both FOUNDATION miniatures.

Also Bond Bulldog, Bond Zenith C and Sligo Northern Light on the bottom side.

Bambi has given us a beautiful, white blanketed filly, that we just love! Can't wait to clip her and see what she's hiding under that baby fuzz!! Now, decisions...decisions. With a pretty baby like this one, I wonder what next year will bring?

Toyland Celena of Castle Rock

"Celena" was born a tiny little girl of 17.5" with a colorful blanket! She has continued to color, and look how beautiful she is as a 3 month old! The most amazing thing about Celena is her extreme Arabian strut with her tail flying in the air. She lifts her head and her legs up high, as she does her floating trot! It's a most beautiful sight. This is a rare and highly valued trait, which we hope she will pass on to her offspring, when she matures.

Celena was born with a perfect bite and has well balanced conformation that should make her a contention in the show ring. Celena has strong Appaloosa genes with both her sire and dam being Leopard Appaloosas. She should be a top color producer for us in the future.

Her sire, FALABELLA GUILLE, (pronounced Guy) is a 29.75" exceptional Black Leopard Appaloosa imported as a young stallion from the Falabella farm in Argentina. Guille has superior qualities which he passes on to his offspring, first and foremost, being a perfect bite, perfect legs and show type conformation. He has beautiful movement with his head held high and a smooth, gliding trot like artistry in motion. Most important, Guille has 100% Argentine ancestry, with totally different ancestors from most other Falabella in the USA.

Celena's dam is Toyland Cee Cee, a 30.00" Sorrel Few Spot Appaloosa, who is by Toyland Chianti Treasure, a 29.00" Snowflake Chestnut Appaloosa x Toyland Little Tiki, a 34" Black Bay mare, who is a Zodiac daughter, who is small and correct and a wonderful color producer, obviously.

"Beauty," is just that, an absolutely beautiful black roan varnish appaloosa. This retired show mare has produced National Champions, Top Ten National Champions in Driving and Performance, along with Halter.

Beauty is confirmed in foal to Sunrise Hill Farm Spots Supreme, fondly known as "Zeus", a gorgeous Bay Leopard Appaloosa, out of Lucky Four Spots A Plenty, Crescents Rhett Butler, son of Crescents Sparkey, National Grand Champion Senior Stallion, and goes back to Pepper, direct son of the great CHIANTI, known as the "grandfather" of Appaloosa Miniature Horses, and LITTLE JOE, Grand Champion and Supreme Halter Horse.

Fun E Farm Sugar and Spice

"Ginger," is a beautiful, "full of sugar" 32.00" girl with a long, elegant neck. She is Appaloosa bred top and bottom, with scelara, striped hooves and tons of mottling and frosting over her rump. She is straight, correct, has good length of back, and a tail flagging trot.

This girl has lots of attitude (that's the spicy part), and wonderful appaloosa breeding. Her sire is Sulphuras Apache Legacy, a 31.50" black leopard, and on the bottom side she goes back to Komokos Blue Eagle, a 33.00" Blue Roan Snowcap Appaloosa. Beautiful lines that we look forward to, once her showing days are over.

Ginger was shown successfully as a yearling mare in 2007. Her first AMHR show resulted in a 1st (both judges) in Yearling "A" Halter, 1st (both judges) in Amateur Mares, Grand Champion Junior "A" Mare (both judges) and Reserve Grand Champion "A" Mare (both judges).

THIS IS ONE, GORGEOUS Tri-registered FILLY! "Booty" is the foal of Southern Charms Ramblin Rose, a beautiful Ramblin Starbuck (by Rowdy) bred AMHA World Top 10 Mare. This retired show mare is taking after her dam, Creation Creeks Rogues Miss Callie, who has received an award for "Produce of Dam". We are hoping that Booty will continue the family tradition when taking her turn as a broodmare, AFTER her show career.

Booty has the most magnificent color and beautiful appaloosa patterning, beginning on her face, and covering her "booty." Then to top it all off, Booty's dam also goes back to GLENNS SOUTHERN ROUGE, an AMHA National Top Ten Stallion, and NFC'S HUSSELERS STAR, a National Grand Champion. Booty definitely has the family look!

Her sire, Mountain High White Cloud, is a producer of Grand and National Grand Champions, and this girl also carries some wonderful Falabella lines. "Blessie" is a lovely mare with a pretty head and show type conformation. She is a beautiful "Seal Black" appaloosa, with lots of mottling.

Her sire, TOYLAND PORTENTOSO, is a 32.00" Snowcap Appaloosa, out of PORTENTO, a black Appaloosa son of GROSSHILLS COMOFIN, an imported, top quality 29" Black Leopard Appaloosa from the Falabella farm in Argentina.

Blessie's dam is Toyland Tiara Mist, a 32.50" solid black mare, who is by Toyland Zodiac, a 31" Black Leopard Appaloosa Falabella stallion. Zodiac has produced many loud colored appaloosa foals, and proved himself to be a most prolific and valued sire, until his death in 2004, and became the TOP Falabella stallion in the US, and in many parts of the world.

As a "Toyland" falabella, who are bred to carry the BLACK gene, we are hoping to assure a higher percentage of intense "base colors" such as Black, Bay and Chestnut, which are highly desirable to us in our "COLOR" breeding program. "Pokey" has wonderful color! A retired show mare, this girl was the 2000 National All Star Multi-color Mare, over, and a National Top Ten in 2002 again in Multi-color Mare, over. Her breeding is heavily Stout, going back to Stout Black Magic, Stouts Mona Lisa, Stouts Little Chippewa, and Stouts Mister Pride, a Foundation Stallion. Out of RJ Little Hawkeye, this mare is heavily appaloosa bred on the top and bottom, many being leopard appaloosas!

For 2008, Pokey is bred to Timberviews I C Spots, a 31.00" Black Near Leopard Appaloosa. "Spots" goes back to Lengendary's Bullet. THIS SHOULD MEAN MORE COLOR! Can't wait to see what beauty these two will produce next year!

D.M. Sunny's Cinnamon

"Cinnamon" has wonderful bright red sorrel color and flaxen mane and tail, set off with that wonderful bright white star—just a perfect "horsey" picture out of childhood dreams. Her breeding has FIVE crosses to GOLD MELODY BOY, one of the most recognizable and prepotent lines in Miniature horses today, carrying tremendous Arabian type, balance and elegance. Cinnamon's Gold Melody Boy lines come from Wittmaacks Mickey Mouse, Johnston's Silver, Boone's Little Apache, Roan Ranger, and Johnston's Starlight, all direct sons and daughters of GMB. We are looking forward to crossing this girl's lines with our exceptional Appaloosa stallions, to "fortify" the GMB type, balance and elegance in our appaloosa herd.

For 2008, Cinnamon is bred to Timberviews Simply Awesome, a 31.50" Black Leopard Appaloosa. "Awesome" is a full brother to our retired show mare, "Pokey" so we are expecting to see quality, with the balance and elegance GMB lines carry. With Cinnamon’s exceptional bright red color, and Awesome's large leopard patterning, we are hoping for strong appaloosa color in this upcoming foal!

Little Kings Classy Cat

"Classy" is the daughter of Buckeroo's Top Cat, son of the legendary BOONES LITTLE BUCKEROO, going back to GOLD MELODY BOY on the top AND bottom sides. There are not many stallions that are sired by, and sire, National Grand Champions, but Top Cat is an accomplished show horse in his own right, with great presence and refined conformation, that he passes on to his get.

Classy is a beautiful young mare, totally upright and having the leggy look that is so sought after in the show ring. She has a huge eye, balanced trim barrel, and refined conformation from the Buckeroo and Gold Melody Boy lines. And a BONUS - she has SPOTS !!! A "Little Kings Farm" "Buckaloosa!"

This is Boone's Little Buckeroo and Gold Melody Boy at its best for an Appaloosa breeder?having all the extra appaloosa characteristics a breeder wants to see besides just spots: striped hooves, mottled pink and black skin around her eyes, nose, mouth, genitals and inside her ears, with visible sclera. Meadowlakes Crimson & Clover

"Clover" has wonderful red sorrel color and flaxen mane and tail, with about a "million" snowflakes. (Look at the picture of her just 4 years ago--when she was beginning to "flake") She is just beautiful! Clover is heavily Stout's bred, with 3 crosses to STOUTS MISTER PRIDE, one of the FOUNDATION stallions in Miniature horses today. Clover has passed on her wonderful color to her 2 prior offspring: a sorrel near-leopard appaloosa filly, and a sorrel snowflake appaloosa filly. Note: both babies were fillies, so we are hoping for a repeat from the "filly fairy" in 2009!

CCMF Color Card

"CeeCee" is a beautiful brown snowcap / fewspot mare, with some wonderful leopard appaloosas behind her. On the top side, her sire, 30.50" Mountain High White Cloud, is a producer of Grand and National Grand Champions. White Cloud is a Falabella Blend, so this girl also carries some wonderful Falabella lines. Mountain Highs White Cloud is sired by Flabys El Tigre, a small (28") black leopard Falabella stallion, and his dam is World of Miniatures Salt N. Pepper, another black leopard appaloosa. One generation back is Toyhorse Panther out of Toyhorse Domino—again, both black leopard appaloosas. It is a grand, spotted line. On the bottom, there is mainly Sulphuras breeding, her dam being a beautiful bay appaloosa.

CeeCee has the most beautiful tail flagging movement, that we are hopeful she will pass on to her foals. She is being bred to Sweetwater's Texas Spotty in 2008, and we will anxiously await this foal. We are hopeful Spotty will again lend his conformation to the upcoming offspring, and CeeCee will strengthen the leopard/spotted lines, and help reduce the size of our beautiful appaloosa foals, making them ever more competitive in the show ring.

What a beautiful girl!!! "Cinni" is a beautiful chestnut snowflake appaloosa with a blanket, with a star on her forehead—who greatly resembles her famous sire: Hidden Meadows Missing Link, a multiple Grand Champion Sire! She has produced some magnificent foals, one of the most beautiful is Heather Glen's Nutmeg, a Grand and Reserve Grand Champion Senior mare.

In looking over the pedigrees for this girl, Castle Rock was VERY pleased to see that she is a Falabella Blend on the top side. Her pedigree can be traced back to original imported Falabellas from Argentina, brought to the US as part of the original six-horse hitch for the Regina Winery in California. Cinni has 1x to HNF's Senior, a "Winery-hitch" Falabella from Burgendy—the direct daught of CHIANTI, the "grandfather" of miniature appaloosas and Regina, both also original "Winery-hitch" imported Falabellas. The Falabella horses of the Regina Winery had a large impact on Falabella and American Miniatures horses of today. This is a wonderful pedigree!

As said above, Cinni’s sire is Hidden Meadows Missing Link, a multiple Grand Champion Sire, sired by Shadow Oaks Paul Bunyan, one of Miniature Horses famous stallions--the 1982 Reserve National Senior Stallion, a producer of National Champion and Grand Champions. Shadow Oaks Paul Bunyan lines go back into the well known championship Shetland lines of Silver Crescent (1915), Larigo (1951) and Linwood (1953).

We look forward to having Cinni arrive at Castle Rock, to be bred to one of our Falabella Blend leopard stallions. We are hoping Cinni can repeat her performance, and give us yet another Grand Champion.
