Joyce and Dennis Scott began raising miniature horses in 1988. After buying "just one" mare and foal, the herd continues to grow.
Dakota Miniatures is breeding horses
with outstanding bloodlines,
that will win in the show ring,
that can complement your breeding program, and
have quiet, friendly dispositions.
Some time ago we bought a Shetland mare "just for fun." This side of our business has grown, and we are now showing Shetlands as well as the miniatures. We are very proud of the small herd we have put together.
We have introduced Establo Arenosa bloodlines into our herd. As a result, we are very pleased with the caliber of horse we are producing. The horses are being shown, and they are winning locally, regionally, and nationally. We wouldn't have it any other way.
