Our Story
D&M Gemstone Farm is owned and operated by Dwayne and Marilyn Anderson. Thank you for taking the time to view our website.We have a small acreage just outside of Mankato in southern Minnesota. We brought our first miniature, a precious little blanketed appaloosa filly, home in the back of our station wagon. She was the first of many minis we would purchase. As any miniature owner will tell you, you can't have just one.
Since our space is limited, it is important to have all top quality horses. All our horses are both AMHA and AMHR registered. We love the appaloosas and pintaloosas and have purchased some outstanding breeding stock with backgrounds from Dels Little Man, Komoko's King Tut, Little Specks Red Boy, Egyptian King, Stout, Van't Huttenest, and Buckeroo.
Our herd sire, NHF Cats Wild Pokadot, is giving us awesome foals with excellent conformation and appy coloring. What a thrill it was for us to receive our first Junior Reserve Championship and Reserve Grand Champion with a colt we had bred, raised, trained, and shown ourselves!
Each horse is stalled individually every night so we can control feedings. We also have a comprehensive worming and hoof care schedule, as well as a complete vaccination program, including West Nile.
Our horses are top quality but reasonably priced, plus terms are available to qualified buyers.
