A limb that had fallen after a storm fell into a section of the field where several of our horses were. Doeboy ate some of the wilting leaves. Toxins are only produced in the wilting stage. These leaves are not toxic if eaten off the tree or from the ground in the fall. UT Knoxville Veterinary Hospital tried their best to save him but the poison is just too strong. Please be aware of all hazards in your area. Doeboy was my primary show horse in halter, halter obstacle & country pleasure driving.
