Check out our Sales Page--updated July 26, 2007--for more information. As most mini owners will tell you--we did not start out planning a breeding farm. We were looking for a companion, or two at best, to complete our family. We felt a couple miniature horses would be just what we needed as we had plenty of land to share. We made mention at work one day and a fella told us of a near by farm he passed every day on his way to work. After carefully writing down the name we could not wait to get home to do a web search. When we typed in the name and our state, only one farm came up so we knew that was the one. It didn't take long for us to pick up the phone after falling deeply in love with a mare on the sales page. It was not until several calls later and several horses had been added to our want list that we became aware of the fact that this farm was at the opposite end of the state! In Michigan that involves a lot of miles and a huge bridge. We made mention of this to the fella at work and he told me that was not the name that he had given us and he rattled off a totally different name. We will never know what really happened then but we do know that our ears heard what they heard and maybe it was just fate that took us to this farm. That fate was the start of a dream come true for us as when we left that farm, we left with our pre-made herd of horses, complete with a guard donkey, and some newfound friends... and so the journey began... We feel confident that our chosen herd has the conformation, genetics, and personality that will breed true into our future as we have already enjoyed our first foals from these crosses. They were exceptional foals. Our future looks bright at Serena's Starlight Miniatures. Come and take a tour of our farm and enjoy our extended family.
